A change of season is the perfect opportunity to give things a bit of shake up in the beauty department. As the weather changes, so does our beauty routine. In winter we tend to wear a richer moisturiser, plum hues and can get away with darker colours. As the weather warms up, we want a lighter foundation and fresh colours to compliment our summery dresses and new found tan!
We are not quite there yet with the warm weather in the UK...but we can dream right?! Here are a few of our favourite picks we are choosing to wear this Spring and Summer.
Pink eyeshadow may not be everyone's cup of tea. However, this subtle, slightly shimmering shade is the perfect colour to brighten up your peepers for a fresh, wide eyed look. Wear it with a white liner on the lower lash line, plenty of mascara and a flick of black liquid liner. It's super modern, pretty and will really make blue and green eyes pop!
Cobalt blue liner was all over the Spring/Summer 2016 catwalks. Yes, its a little scary to think about wearing blue liner. We completely understand the thought of any blue around the eyes (whether that be eyeshadow, liner or dark circles!) being considered unflattering. But grey hair is in fashion right?! So why not blue liner? Let's embrace what our grandmother's are rocking and try it for ourselves. Done right, it can look incredibly flattering on all skin tones and eye colours.
No spring makeup look is complete without a little dusting of bronzer. This one by Living Nature can be built up in layers to provide the perfect amount of bronze for your own individual needs. Apply to the areas of the face where the sun would naturally hit, on the cheeks, temples and nose. This way you acheive the most natural look and can fool anyone that you have a gorgeous glowing tan fit for a bronzed goddess!
A bright lipstick like this coral/orange is really modern and looks great on anyone with a warm or neutral skin tone. If there was ever a perfect colour to wear during the warmer months, this is it. Wear this with a simple eye makeup look to keep your face looking fresh. Just a layer of mascara for the daytime, and add a slick of black liner to jazz things up for evening is all thats needed. Oh, and this colour looks AMAZING with a tan.
A light coverage, sheer foundation is much more comfortable to wear when the warmer weather hits. Having that feeling of wearing nothing on your skin, yet still providing a little coverage, is the perfect combo. This foundation is more like a tinted moisturiser, and is packed full of beneficial ingredients such as Apricot Oil, which is rich in Vitamins A and E to help revitalise, nourish and moisturise the skin.
